Stone Age: Tiger's Eye
WHAT’S IT GOOD FOR?
Tiger's Eye enhances willpower and self-confidence, making it a great partner for any moments or events where you need unwavering strength. It has been known to be a highly protective stone, but doubly so for anyone who is traveling, making it a good crystal to keep in your vehicle (with amethyst). It's also protective when worn. The protective and "watchful" Tiger's Eye promotes positivity, and helps us to see our own skills and talents, giving us a little boost to help complete our goals. It releases any blocked creativity and can improve your personal power. This stone is grounding, increases the presence of spirit and is very lucky.
WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE?
This stone has iridescent stripes that run through it, glowing when they catch the light. It can be found in shades or orange and brown with golden stripes, but also in blues, red, and greens. The varying colours will have slightly different properties, but all carry protective qualities.
In the movie, Practical Magic, Gillian, played by Nicole Kidman, asks to retrieve her Tiger's Eye when her sister (Sandra Bullock) comes to her rescue after discovering Gillian's boyfriend was abusive. Gillian sees "blood on the moon," a warning of danger, and she searches for her Tiger's Eye to give her protection and to encourage the correct use of power. Cool!
