Stone Age: Rose Quartz

I wasn't going to share this stone until June, but I've had so many people connecting with me where I end up recommending this stone for healing and therapy that I felt it needed to make its debut far sooner than planned. This stone should be in your crystal toolkit as well, since it's such a big big transmuter of energy - loving energy. Energy we could all use a little more of. If everyone could have this stone scattered throughout their homes and yards I swear we would all be better people. If you're stopping to read about Rose Quartz, there is probably a pretty good reason for it. Read below to find out why this crystal will fill, heal and replenish your tired heart:

Rose Quartz is the best crystal when it comes to healing the heart. It represents unconditional love and grace and teaches its owner about true love. While this can be toward another person, it is - importantly - often about teaching us how to love ourselves and all those dark, shadowy, shameful, broken bits of ourselves. We can't know true light until we know darkness, because one does not exist without the other. Loving our darkness, though difficult, is when true transformation happens within us. This crystal's vibration helps purify the heart's energy and is great for those who have been through any level of trauma or crisis. It doesn't matter if that trauma is buried in the memories of our childhood, or in the box of mementos under our bed from our last breakup. When this crystal shows up in your life, is recommended to you, or you find it calling you, it's a sign that you are entering a time of necessary change, and Rose Quartz is the perfect aid in acceptance. Whether your emotions are unexpressed or even consciously unknown, this stone will open your heart so you can finally acknowledge these pains and heal. It is a beautifully healing crystal. Rose Quartz teaches you just how lovable you are, and this can often bring in new romantic love to you as well, making you a magnet thanks to all the feel good energy you emanate. This crystal is good for all types of love and benefits everyone.

Rose Quartz is always pink and might have some translucent shards throughout it. It's relatively easy to track down and comes polished or raw. You should be able to identify it fairly easily - and when you do, make it a staple stone in your crystal toolkit.

Placing this guy beside your bed or in the relationship corner of your home (feng shui) will help attract love to you - the romantic kind. Zing! If you're in a relationship, placing this crystal by your bed or in the relationship corner will help strengthen that relationship and bring new zest to it through romance. However, this stone can also increase fertility so maaaaaaybe take some extra precautions with all that love in the bedroom. Whoops! Sawry! Totes went there. It makes a great wedding gift for new couples too, helping to strengthen their new union.

Stone Age showcases one new gemstone per week. Since there is a lot to know about crystals, I only cover the high points I find interesting. If you're curious about a certain stone, leave a comment below and I'll be sure to feature it. What is your favourite crystal?
